On October 13, Latinos En Michigan and Minority Education Freedom Foundation presented for the fourth consecutive time the Latino Talent Awards, an initiative that was created by Liliana Ospina and her husband John Herbstreith in 2019 to recognize members of the Latino community, who through their work or volunteerism help improve the lives of many Latinos in Michigan.

In 2022, as in previous editions, The Talentos Latinos Awards highlighted the diversity of the Latino Community and recognized the work and service of many Hispanic unsung heroes who work hard for the betterment of the Latinos Community in Michigan.

This year, the awards were held at Lincoln Manor in Lincoln Park and, unlike previous years, included people who, despite not being Latinos, have been helping the Hispanic community for years.

Likewise, the Latino Talent Awards usually seeks to showcase the cultural variety of the Hispanic community, so this year folkloric dances from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil were presented.
