With the start of the Michigan Renaissance Festival season just days away, Detroit got a sneak peak of what’s ahead. On Sunday, August 3rd, Eastern Market’s Shed 5 buzzed with vendors, live dancing and entertainment, and whimsical characters. Cameos including the festival’s own Shannon Irish Dance Academy, Knights of the New Order Jousting, and fairies who roamed around the preview venue, bringing joy to guests of all ages. Visitors enjoyed the entertainment, shopped for unique handmade goods and lined up to grab exclusive deals like BOGO general admission tickets to the Festival.
Held each year in Holly Michigan, the festival celebrates more than just a homage to Renaissance history. For many, it is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to embrace their love for fantasy, creativity and community.
