The Sun Shined Brightly on this Year’s Clark Park Winter Carnival!

Last year’s Clark Park Winter Carnival & Charity Hockey Classic started off in the pouring rain, but this year’s 14th annual event had lots of sunshine despite the cold weather. Hundreds of community members joined in on the day’s activities which included a petting zoo, horse drawn carriage rides, outdoor games, Huron Metro Parks displays, marshmallow roasting, and, of course, ice skating and hot chocolate.

The Carnival’s activities were capped off with ML Elrick’s 11th annual Charity Hockey Classic which added thousands to the fundraising effort, thanks to the men who paid to participate in the game. A big thank you goes out to the Clark Park Coalition’s hard-working staff and volunteers who made sure everyone had a great time.

Many thanks to the generous sponsors who helped us raise nearly $40,000 for the park. They included Huntington Bank, Ideal Shield, Metropolitan United Women in Faith, Credit Union One, DTE Energy, Henry Ford Health, the Brennan Group, Inkwell Partners, HAP and ML Soul of Detroit.

You, too, can support the park by donating to our Patronicity fundraising campaign which continues through this month. Help us reach our new $6,000 goal by going to www.patronicity.com and search for “Clark Park 2026”. No amount is too small – or too big!

Entre ellos se encuentran Huntington Bank, Ideal Shield, Metropolitan United Women in Faith, Credit Union One, DTE Energy, Henry Ford Health, the Brennan Group, Inkwell Partners, HAP y ML Soul of Detroit.
