Bank of America celebrates its annual “Day of Giving” on December 2 by connecting more than 100 employee volunteers with the bank’s 2025 community nonprofit partners working to support economic opportunity in metro Detroit. The day ended with a grand “GIVE” holiday reception attended by local community and nonprofit leaders, bank employees, clients, and alumni of the Bank of America Student Leaders program, recognizing the significant community impact these organizations have made throughout 2025.
This year, Bank of America Detroit awarded more than $7.3 million to 47 nonprofits through grants, sponsorships, investments, and employee giving. Bank employees also logged over 16,700 volunteer hours to support nonprofit partners in 2025. These hours represent a participation rate of 60% among BofA’s Metro Detroit workforce, and support efforts to improve the lives of individuals and families throughout Metro Detroit by investing in health care, job training, emergency shelter, affordable housing, food support, and financial education.
Bank of America’s Detroit market leaders also named College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program and Life Remodeled as the 2025 Neighborhood Builders®. One of the nation’s largest philanthropic investments into nonprofit leadership development, each Neighborhood Builder organization will receive $200,000 in flexible funding, over two years, plus comprehensive leadership training and access to a national network of nonprofit peers.
