Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship
Michigan needs people to go into profes- sional trades, where they can make great money while making a great difference. The new Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship has been launched to help students get started.
The Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship offers up to $4,000 over two years for graduating high school students to attend an eligible career training program in Michigan.
This skills scholarship offers another pathway to the Michigan Achievement Scholarship launched last year, providing students financial assistance to attend an eligible Michigan college or university.
Students cannot participate in both pathways in the same academic year, however, students who graduate from the Skills Scholarship could still be eligible to attend a College or University and pursue an associate degree, bachelors degree or skill certificate with the Michigan Achievement Scholarship.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship
Michigan Achievement Scholarship Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that starting in 2023, students with a high school diploma, certificate of completion, or high school equivalency can apply for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and lower their cost of college by thousands of dollars a year. Students should talk to their parents or guardians, gather docu- ments, and fill out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possi- ble in order to take advantage of this scholarship opportunity.
Students will be eligible if their family demonstrates financial need* when they complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
High school seniors or students earning their high school equivalency or certifi- cate of completion in 2023 can get started by filing the FAFSA.
