Shakira! Shakira!
Fans shouted throughout the halls of Little Caesars Arena (LCA) last Thursday evening as the Colombian singer and songwriter brought the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to Detroit.
Concertgoers of all ages and generations lined up along the entrances of LCA in the rain to witness La Loba in real life.
“To see Shakira live here in Detroit is a Dream of mine,” said a young fan.
The last time La Loba visited the Motor City was approximately eight years ago. She was on tour promoting her last album El Dorado.
This time around, Shakira made her return to Detroit with a sold out show, selling approximately 13,000 concert seats at LCA.
“Esta noche somos uno,” said Shakira and the two hour brilliant storytelling performance of La Loba began.
The show included decades of Shakira’s discography which included songs like La Bicicleta, She Wolf, La Fuerte, Whenever, Whenever, Loca, Monotonía, Copa Vacía, and many more.
Through star-studded outfits and Shakira’s high energy, every song felt like a movie especially while she performed songs like Te Felicito due to the use of animatronic robots.
Most importantly, the Colombian superstar showed concert goers that her hips still don’t lie. With insane core choreography, Shakira and her dance team portrayed the impact the infamous Hips Don’t Lie song has on the generations of Latinos to this day.
Through glitz and glitters she shined through the night and even changed her outfits a mind-blowing 15 times.
Shakira Shakira ended her night in Detroit with a jaw dropping light show and dance performance from her mixtape Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 with Argentinian producer and songwriter Bizzarap and featured on her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran
The world tour began in February 2025 and is set to end in November 2025 with a total of 66 fabulous shows.
