Clark Park hosted nine teams from the Detroit Athletic Club League on Saturday January 28th. Part of the DAC hockey program’s focus is also community engagement in hockey. DAC League players volunteered at Clark Park to put the ice in this year and raised $8,500 and used the funds to purchase youth hockey equipment including helmets, sticks and other protective equipment for the Clark Park Youth Hockey Program.

14th Annual Frozen Fish Fiasco

The 14th Annual Frozen Fish Fiasco took place on February 4th & 5th, 2023 at Clark Park in Southwest Detroit. The event is promoted as an annual fundraising and outdoor hockey weekend played at the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink within the city limits. The game on Saturday featured the Detroit Red Wings Alumni vs Ram Truck while Sunday’s game featured the Red Wings Alumni vs. UAW Local 600. Detroit Tiger alum Craig dropped the puck at Saturday’s game and former NFL and UM football player Braylon Edwards dropped the puck on Sunday.
