Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala Navideña

The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 33rd Gala Hispana Navideña on December 2nd at the MGM Grand Detroit among its members, friends, and community leaders. The presenting sponsor of the event was Blue Cross Blue Shields of Michigan. The night started with a unique performance by Sean Blackman & Latin Jazz Quartet during Cocktail hour. The night program offered guests diverse elements of Hispanic cultures such as performances of Tango dancers and Flamenco dancers accompanied by live guitar performance by Sean Blackman. Guests were energized by the entertainment of Armando Vega & the 313 Orchestra Band. Dr. Antonia Novello first woman and Hispanic ever to be the Surgeon General of the U.S. delivered a powerful and facts-based speech that caught the attention of the entire room.

Dr. Novello reminded guests about the importance of remembering their roots and own the responsibility of working and investing time and resources to support the Hispanic community. To finalize the night, the MHCC recognized four outstanding Hispanic entrepreneurs and professionals and one corporate business partner.

The awardees of the night were: Elton Monroy Duran, Corpus Art Inc. – Community Advocate of the Year; Regina Fuson, The ODP Corporation – Business Partner of the Year; Jennifer Good, AAM – Chamber Advocate of the Year, Paulina Sandoval, AQS – Entrepreneur of the Year and Brenda Arbelaez, PALS International – Lifetime Achievement Award.

After a successful night, the MHCC invites guests to save the date for the upcoming year the 34th Gala Hispana Navideña that will be take place on Friday Dec. 1st, 2023.

Gala Navideña de la Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Michigan

La Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Michigan celebró su 33va Gala Hispana Navideña el viernes 2 de diciembre en el MGM Grand Detroit junto a sus miembros, amigos y lideres de la comunidad. El patrocinante oficial de la noche fue Blue Cross Blue Shields of Michigan. La noche comenzó con una actuación especial de Sean Blackman & el cuarteto de Jazz latino durante la hora del coctel. El programa ofreció la oportunidad de disfrutar diferentes elementos de la cultura hispana, ejemplo de ello fue la presentación especial de bailarines de Tango y Flamenco. Así mismo, los invitados fueron energizados gracias a la música de Armando Vega & la 313 Orchestra Band.

La Dra. Antonia Novello, primera mujer y persona hispana en ser la cirujano general de los estados unidos, captó la atención de todos los invitados con su potente discurso donde recordó a los presentes sobre la importancia de recordar sus raíces y la responsabilidad que tienen de seguir trabajando e invirtiendo tiempo y recursos para apoyar a la comunidad hispana.

Para finalizar la noche. La MHCC reconoció cuatro sobresalientes emprendedores y profesionales hispanos y un aliado corporativo: Elton Monroy Duran, Corpus Art Inc. – Promotor de la comunidad del año; Regina Fuson, The ODP Corporation – Socio comercial del año; Jennifer Good, AAM – Promotora de la MHCC del año, Paulina Sandoval, AQS – Emprendedora del año y Brenda Arbelaez, PALS International – Reconocimiento a su trayectoria.

Tras una noche exitosa, la MHCC invita a reservar la fecha para la próxima 34ta Gala Hispana Navideña que se celebrara el viernes 1ero de diciembre del 2023.
