Food lovers of every kind are invited to experience two of Metro Detroit’s favorite specialty markets in one unforgettable destination on Sunday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastern Market Shed 5. The Detroit Foodie Fair and Detroit Vegan will once again be co-located, creating one of the region’s largest gatherings of specialty foods, handcrafted goods, and plant-based products.

Visitors can shop more than 75 vendors featuring gourmet foods, small-batch makers, artisan products, beverages, baked goods, specialty pantry items, vegan favorites, handcrafted gifts, home décor, and more—all under one roof with free admission.

Whether attendees are passionate foodies, longtime vegans, curious shoppers, or simply looking for a unique Sunday outing, the combined event offers something for everyone. Guests can sample new products, discover local businesses, meet the makers behind their favorite brands, and explore the best of Michigan’s growing food and artisan community.

The event also features the return of the Detroit Best Foodie Find competition, where attendees can vote for their favorite vendor throughout the day. The friendly competition highlights standout products and gives shoppers another way to engage with local businesses.

Detroit Foodie Fair was recently recognized as a USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Award nominee for Best Specialty Food Festival, highlighting its growing reputation as one of the Midwest’s premier food-focused events.

Detroit Foodie Fair and Detroit Vegan are organized by Mercantile Fairs, a visionary women-led team based in Detroit and Flint, with decades of experience in market and event production.
