New Book Serves As Guide to Nonprofit Growth and Success

Next Level Nonprofit Now Available

Chris Lambert, the entrepreneurial and visionary founder of successful, growth-oriented nonprofit Life Remodeled now adds published author to his list of accomplishments with the release of Next Level Nonprofit, a how-to guide for organizations that want to operate more effectively toward bigger goals. Lambert designed the book as a how-to guide for founders and leaders looking for proven strategies.

“Our big, bold nonprofit missions deserve our best efforts—and a system that maximizes our impact,” said Lambert. “Next Level Nonprofit brings structure to your passion, helping you attract and retain top talent, clarify internal communication, craft a two-page strategic plan your team can rally behind, and more. Your nonprofit can be and achieve more by implementing the Next Level Nonprofit operating system, and this practical book will coach you through the process. The world needs your nonprofit to operate at maximum capacity; Next Level Nonprofit will show you how.”

“In Next Level Nonprofit, Chris tackles the difficult issue of organizations effectiveness in nonprofit organizations,” said Dr. Gene Tempel, Professor and Founding Dean Emeritus, Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the President Emeritus of the Indiana University Foundation. “Using the computer operating system analogy, he proposes a systematic approach to developing the various processes that ensure a high-performing nonprofit. This is a useful handbook for staff and board members interested in intentional application of a proven methodology.

next level book coverNext Level Nonprofit is designed for nonprofit leaders in organizations of all shapes and sizes, those who are considering launching a nonprofit and those who support nonprofits and want to see them make a greater impact.

“Anytime someone suggests that a charity be run ‘like a business,’ it can create nervousness as it conjures thoughts of ruthless pursuits of money over people. Running a nonprofit on the right business principles is not at odds with compassion,” added Lambert. “The people of your community served by nonprofit organizations deserve excellence. As nonprofits face the daunting task of delivering on their missions during this uncertain time, they are best served by adapting business fundamentals to plan for and realize the next level of impact, not just their next fiscal year.”

100% of proceeds from Next Level Nonprofit will support Life Remodeled’s mission to create neighborhood revitalization that lasts.

Lambert founded Life Remodeled in 2010. The organization’s one-of-a-kind model repurposes vacant properties into one-stop hubs of opportunity where families can thrive. Life Remodeled fills these hubs with the best and brightest nonprofit organizations and facilitates collaboration to create far greater life transformation together than was previously possible alone.

Together with partners and neighborhoods, Life Remodeled ensures:

  1. Metro Detroit students perform at or above grade level in math and reading
  2. Families have access to essential health and wellness services
  3. Community members obtain higher paying jobs and achieve economic self-sufficiency

Editor’s Note: Author Dr. Chris Lambert will host a book signing for Next Level Nonprofit on July 20 from 6-8pm at the Durfee Innovation Society located at 2470 Collingwood St, Detroit, MI 48206.
