Mexicantown Community Development Corporation (MCDC) hosted the Michigan Humane – Southwest Detroit Vaccine Clinic held in the MCDC – Plaza Del Norte Parking lot on Saturday May 13 .Residents were urged to bring their pets for vaccinations, health checks and free pet food. The event was also sponsored locally by the Ideal Group. Pet owners were asked to make donations to cover the costs of the vaccinations based on their ability to pay. In five hours more than 180 pets were seen. Volunteer interpreters were also available to help pet owners.
