This past Saturday, June from LA SED Youth and Senior Cristo Rey Robotics, Detroit In addition, the Kresge Eye 27, hundreds flocked to Center while the afternoon of Harmony, Detroit Public Institute provided free vision Clark Park in Southwest music and entertainment was Schools Community District, screening in the Clark Park Detroit to enjoy the classical and jazz sounds of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. But that’s not all.
The orchestral sounds of the DSO were matched by the enthusiastic rhythms of young violin students from the Sphinx Overture program at Cesar Chavez Academy and the senior Ballet Folklorico group
topped off by local rock band Mando Kane.
Dozens of local organizations set up information booths around the park to share their program services and resources with festival participants including the Belle Isle Nature Center, Brilliant Detroit, Candela Detroit, City of Detroit Health Department, Detroit
Matrix Head Start, Matrix Theatre, MCSDA, Pewabic Pottery, and Wayne County CASA and MDHHS and many more.
Detroit Harmony is a program of the DSO which provides hands-on instrument exploration for kids linking them and their families to local music programs.
