Detroit Cristo Rey’s Miranda Alonso Earns Full Scholarship to Notre Dame

Congratulations are in order for Southwest Detroit’s Miranda Alonso who is currently a senior at Detroit Cristo Rey High School. She earned a full, four-year scholarship worth $350,000 to the prestigious Notre Dame University through QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship program.

Miranda is one out of 2,242 finalists across the nation to receive this scholarship, but that number was narrowed down from the initial 6,683 who were originally in the running for consideration. Miranda holds a 4.0 GPA and is in the top of her graduating class, both determiners to be a scholarship finalist.

Miranda hopes to study global business and finance.
