August 18, 2023, San Antonio, Texas – The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures announces the open call for applications for the 2024 NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) grant program. Latinx artists and arts organizations of all disciplines based in the U.S. and Puerto Rico may apply for $10,000 grant awards. The 2024 NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) program includes general project grants for artists and arts organizations and the Adán Medrano Legacy Award in Film, a $10,000 award recognizing one emerging filmmaker.

Our commitment to Latinx artists and arts organizations remains unwavering as they continue to shape narratives, bridge worlds, and inspire generations to come,” said José Castillo Rocha, NALAC Interim Grants Manager.
“As we embark on this journey together, we look towards abundant future imaginaries rather than present constraints in witnessing the transformative power of Latinx cultural expressions.”
For over 15 years, the NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) has been the only national grant program of its kind, exclusively providing grants to Latinx artists and arts organizations. To date, NALAC has awarded 778 grants, totaling over $6 million dollars in support for the Latinx arts and cultures field. The 2023 award cycle marked the largest number of awards granted in the NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) program’s history, with over $1.13 million dollars granted to Latinx artists and arts organizations. The 2024 NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) program will feature multiple grant categories, with additional opportunities scheduled to open later this year.
Interested applicants are encouraged to register for a 2024 NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA) support webinar. Support webinars will be held for both individual artists and organizations. Language access services for American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish interpretation will be provided. Additional applicant support resources are available at www.nalac.org
