Cinco de Mayo Parade and Fiesta: Music of our Heritage

Advance registrations for the Cinco de Mayo Parade & Fiesta are now closed. Same day registration fees will apply as outlined in the application. Same day registration for the parade is at the starting point at Woodmere and Vernor Hwy and same day registration for the fiesta is at 21st and Bagley St. upon arrival.

Last minute things to know for participating in the parade:

Parade procession participants must adhere to the rules and regulations they signed off on in their completed registration. Any infractions will be addressed by the Detroit Police Department and those participants will be escorted out of the procession. No vehicle burnouts or excessive driving hazards will be tolerated.

Parade spectators should expect to stand or bring their own lawn chair to be comfortable. The parade will end around 2:30 pm so please plan your trip accordingly around the road closures for the duration of the parade. This is a family-friendly event for the community!

The Cinco de Mayo Parade Rules and Regulations:

  • All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license, registration and insurance for all vehicles.
  • All participants are responsible for their own safety; any accidents during the parade through the fault of the participant is the responsibility of that participant.
  • Throwing or distribution of items of any kind from a float or vehicle is strictly forbidden. Parade officials are authorized to remove the float or unit from the parade assembly area or during the line of march.
  • All animal units must be registered by parade application. Each group must provide street cleaning services following horses in the assembly area, along the parade route, and in the disbanding area. Animals on a leash deemed dangerous to the public are not permitted.
  • NO SAVED PLACES! All parties must be present as parade forms on a first-come, first serve basis and you must be in formation starting at 8:30 a.m. Formation stops at 11:30 a.m.
  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED FOR PARADE PARTICIPANTS IN OR OUT OF VEHICLES.

Desfile y Fiesta del Cinco de Mayo: Música de nuestro patrimonio

Las inscripciones anticipadas para el Desfile y Fiesta del Cinco de Mayo ya están cerradas. Se aplicarán tarifas de registro el mismo día como se describe en la solicitud. La inscripción en el desfile será en el punto de partida, entre la calle Woodmere y Vernor Hwy y la inscripción para la fiesta que se llevara a cabo el mismo día tendrá lugar entre 21st y Bagley St. al momento de llegada.

¿Qué más debe saber para participar en el desfile?

Los participantes del desfile deben cumplir con las reglas y regulaciones que firmaron al momento de registrarse. Cualquier infracción será abordada por el Departamento de Policía de Detroit y los participantes serán escoltados fuera del desfile. No se tolerará la presencia de fuego en los vehículos ni riesgos al momento de la conducción.

Los espectadores del desfile deberán estar de pie o traer su propia silla de jardín para estar cómodos. El desfile terminará alrededor de las 2:30 p. m., le pedimos que planifique su viaje tomando en cuenta los cierres de las calles durante el desfile. ¡Este es un evento familiar para la comunidad!

POR FAVOR LEA DETENIDAMENTE LA SIGUIENTE INFORMACIÓN:

El incumplimiento de las siguientes especificaciones descalificará a los participantes del desfile del Cinco de Mayo.

Reglas y Regulaciones

  • Todos los conductores deben poseer una licencia de conducir válida, registro y seguro para todos los vehículos.
  • Los participantes son responsables de su propia seguridad; cualquier accidente durante el desfile por causa del participante será responsabilidad de ese participante.
  • Queda terminantemente prohibido arrojar o repartir artículos de cualquier tipo desde una carroza o vehículo. Los oficiales del desfile están autorizados para retirar la carroza o unidad del área de reunión del desfile o durante la marcha.
  • Todas las unidades de animales deberán estar registradas en la aplicación del desfile. Cada grupo deberá proporcionar servicios de limpieza de la calle, siguiendo a los caballos en el área de reunión, a lo largo de la ruta y en la zona de clausura. No se permiten animales con correa que se consideren peligrosos para el público.
  • ¡NO SE RESERVARÁN LUGARES! Todas las partes deben estar presentes, así como los formularios de inscripción por orden de llegada y deberán estar en la fila partir de las 8:30 a. m. La formación finalizará a las 11:30 a. m.
  • NO SE PERMITEN BEBIDAS ALCOHÓLICAS PARA LOS PARTICIPANTES DEL DESFILE DENTRO O FUERA DE LOS VEHÍCULOS.
