Michigan Colleges Unite to Offer Admissions Info en Español

Four respected local university institutions came together to offer a unique opportunity for Spanish-speaking students and their parents at El Kiosko Hall in Southwest Detroit during the evening of October 12.

Representatives from the respective Admissions and Financial Aid Offices offered printed information and live presentations to approximately 100 high school students, recent graduates and their parents. Participating in the unique event, called “Explorando tu Futuro” were representatives from Michigan State University, the University of Detroit Mercy, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.

In addition, a panel of students currently enrolled in the participating universities shared their experiences with their peers and encouraged them to explore the college opportunities available to help advance their careers.

Las universidades de Michigan se unen para ofrecer información sobre las admisiones en español

Cuatro respetadas instituciones universitarias locales se reunieron para ofrecer una oportunidad única para los estudiantes de habla hispana y sus padres en El Kiosko Hall en el suroeste de Detroit, durante la tarde del 12 de octubre.

Representantes de las Oficinas de Admisiones y Apoyo Económico, ofrecieron información impresa y presentaciones en vivo a aproximadamente 100 estudiantes de secundaria, recién graduados y sus padres. En el evento, denominado “Explorando tu Futuro”, participaron representantes de la Universidad de Michigan State, la Universidad de Detroit Mercy, la Universidad de Michigan y la Universidad de Wayne State.

Además, un panel de estudiantes actualmente matriculados en las universidades participantes, compartió sus experiencias con sus compañeros y los animó a explorar las oportunidades universitarias disponibles para ayudarlos a avanzar en sus carreras.
