Michigan Wolverines National Champions!

After a year that saw head coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended for 6 games (3 in the begining by the University of Michigan Athletic Department, and 3 to end the season by the NCAA for sign stealing allegations), the Wolverines have finished the season 15-0, and have won the National Championship.

This is the Wolverines first National Championship since 1997. This also marks the University of Michigan’s first time in school history to have gone 15-0 in a season.

Wolverines RB #7 Donovan Edwards has also become the first player ever to score TDs in each of his first two possessions, in the National Championship game in the BCS/CFP era.

This was a long time coming for the University of Michigan Wolverines, after losing the past two years, in the Semi Final Playoff games.

The Wolverines defeated the Washington Huskies 34-13, in front of 72,808 fans, at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.
