FREC City Saturday Kicks Off Hispanic Heritage Month More than 400 people visited the Ford Resource and Engagement Center (FREC) and Mercado in Mexicantown on Saturday, September 16 to celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. The afternoon festivities featured live music, dancing by the Motor City Street Dance Academy, food trucks and Detroit Circus Performers. The event was sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Fund.
