Read moreDetailsAs this issue of EL CENTRAL went to press, Crain’s Detroit Business reported that a ribbon-cutting ceremony has been planned for Friday morning, July 24 in anticipation of the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge to vehicle traffic on Monday, July 27.
Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge, free of any tolls, starting on Wednesday, August 5. Stay tuned for updates and hopefully a full report in our next issue regarding the opening of the international border crossing between Detroit and “our neighbors to the south” in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
