MANA de Metro Detroit proudly announces the election of its new President and Vice President following its Annual Membership Meeting held in December. The organization is pleased to welcome Ana Sandoval as President and Marisol “Mari” Quesada as Vice President, as they begin their terms leading MANA’s mission of empowering Latinas through leadership development, mentorship, and community engagement.
Ana Sandoval, elected President, joined MANA in 2024 and has already made a meaningful impact through her service on the Mentorship Committee and as a MANA mentor. A proud Latina leader born and raised in Southwest Detroit to immigrant parents from Mexico, Ana is a graduate of Detroit Public Schools and earned her Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Wayne State University.

She brings more than eight years of experience in finance within the automotive industry, along with a strong commitment to mentorship and community leadership. Beyond MANA, Ana serves as a five-year mentor with Winning Futures and serves on her neighborhood board (Hubbard Richard Resident Association). Ana is also a member of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting) Michigan Professional Chapter. Her leadership is rooted in cultural pride, connection, and a deep belief in giving back to the community that shaped her.

Joining her as Vice President is Marisol “Mari” Quesada, who became a MANA member in 2023 and quickly emerged as a dedicated and results-driven leader. In 2024, Mari assumed the role of Membership Coordinator, where she successfully organized membership data and developed statistical tracking for the organization. Her passion for service led her to become an active member of the Fundraising Committee, later stepping into the role of Fundraising Co-Chair in early 2025. Mari works in Human Resources Project Management for Dearborn Public Schools and brings valuable organizational and analytical skills to her leadership role within MANA.
In addition to the newly elected officers, MANA de Metro Detroit is supported by a strong and committed Executive Board. The incumbent officers include Micheline Silva, Secretary, and Tanya Caruana, Treasurer. Committee Chairs are as follows: Scholarship Selection Committee – Ines de Jesus and Rocio Contreras; Mentorship Committee – Diana Ortega and Maria Kahn; Fundraising Committee – Belda Garza and Marisol Quesada; Event Planning Committee – Laura Torres and Marcia Mercado; and Social Media Committee – Myrna Mendez and Jonelle Lopez.

As MANA welcomes new leadership, the organization also extends its deepest gratitude to outgoing President Stephanie Lopez Gilmore and Vice President Cindy Gamboa for their exceptional leadership and service from 2022 to 2025. Their dedication over the past four years has helped strengthen MANA’s impact and legacy, and the organization looks forward to their continued involvement and support.
With this transition, MANA de Metro Detroit remains committed to uplifting Latina professionals and building a strong, connected community for future generations.
